Super Bowl 52 Guide: Top Restaurants in Minneapolis

Just under eight weeks away from Super Bowl 52 Sunday in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, we’ve got your guide to the Top 10 restaurants you’ve got to try to experience while you’re in the Super Bowl host city.

10. Zelo

Review: “My favorite Italian Restarant in Minneapolis!  Their home made raviolis were amazing and their walleye was amazing! Finished lunch with gelato and sorbet!
Great friendly waiter! Clean and the lighting was perfect!”

9. The Lowry

Review: “This is my favorite brunch venue.  I don’t think there is a single breakfast item on the menu that I dislike.  But I still always order the oatmeal pancakes.  They are THE BEST.  They are also super yummy as cold leftovers, FYI.”

8. Bardo

Review: “Great cocktails, top-notch food at reasonable rates (get the small plates and share), comfortable interior and patio. Northeast is lucky to have this place.”

7. Brasa Rotisserie

Review: “Best meal I had while visiting Minneapolis. Asked for a recommendation from the waitress and ordered the Pork & Egg bowl. Absolutely delicious. The Candied Yams side dish was also outstanding. Highly recommend visiting for a quality meal that won’t break the bank.”

6. Spoon and Stable

Review: “What an amazing experience. The service was top notch, the food was phenomenal. Very busy for a Monday night and I can understand why. We had the crab salad, bison tartare and arctic char crudo appetizers. Very impressive and memorable. The entrees were also five starts. Spaghetti Nero, Driftless Rainbow Trout, and Grilled Pheasant Breast. First time at Spoon and Stable and we will certainly return.”

5. Hell’s Kitchen

Review: “Cheese curds were super duper.  But my Lemon Ricotta pancakes were seriously the best breakfast desert I’ve had. Big juicy berries paired perfectly with the fluffy lemon cakes.  I’d say skip the desert menu and order these for the table. I had a bite of the Walleye fish tacos and I would definitely order them.  So light and not fishy for fish.. you know what I mean?  and the decor is fantastic with the Ralph Steadman artwork all over.”

4. George & The Dragon

Review: “Stopped here on a whim and so glad I did. The service is top notch. I started with the pretzel bread and that was amazing. Had the fish & chips and as a New Englander who has had fish & chips her whole life, it’s hard to find great fish & chips out of the area but I have now found it at George & The Dragon. The tarter sauce seems homemade and the batter on the fish is light and crisp. The selection of local beers is decent as well.”

3. Red Cow – Uptown

Review: “I’m a huge Red Cow fan, and the uptown location does not disappoint. I love how much room they have here, the bar is super cool looking and the staff are friendly. As for the food, my absolute fave is the French onion burger. I love smashing the potato chips down on the burger, I feel like I’m a kid again, playing whack-a-mole with my food. Their cheese curds are on par with the fair (which are my holy grail) and the triple berry ketchup is PHENOMENAL. I would like to eat it by the spoonful, and I’m not a ketchup fan.”

2. 112 Eatery

Review: “If I could eat one meal for the rest of my life it would be the scallop and mushroom dish from 112. The gluten free menu is extensive. Almost the entire regular menu honestly. Excellent cocktails and treats!!! I love the added touches 112 does. Nuts and olives to start and candied popcorn to finish. Love a birthday meal here or just an everyday romantic evening. Still my favorite restaurant in Minnesota.”

1. Butcher & The Boar

Review: “I don’t give many 5 stars but this place deserves it. From start to finish a fabulous meal. Started with the charcuterie,  then 3 mains. Prime rib tip, pork chop and surf/turf.  All cooked perfect and full of flavor. Warning the pork chop is huge  also if you are not into smoke I had the scallops as the turf and again fantastic. Finished with the Parmesan cheese cake- very different and worth the try.”
