The Arizona Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers played during Super Bowl XLIII. The Steelers took home this football trophy with a final score of 27-23. There were a total of 70,774 people in attendance on February 1, 2009 at Super Bowl XLIII. The game was played in Tampa, Florida at Raymond James Stadium. Since the Steelers won this game, they become the first team in Super Bowl history to win six SB titles.

The National Anthem was sung by Jennifer Hudson and the halftime show brought Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. The MVP of Super Bowl XLIII was Santonio Holmes, Steelers’ wide receiver. He was the sixth wide receiver to ever win the MVP award during the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl XLIII was known for being the most watched Super Bowl in history in 2009. There were a total of 151.6 million viewers watching NBC’s network to view the game. The cost of a 30 second commercial was anywhere from $2.4 million to $3 million. The announcers for the game were Al Michaels, John Madden, Andrea Kremer, and Alex Flanagan.
