Everyone around the country knows the top hits of San Francisco. “You have to go to the Golden Gate Bridge!.” “You need to ride one of the trolleys!” That’s what they all say. But here’s a list of great places to go in SF that you may have not heard of.
1. Painted Ladies
Remember the iconic scene on the “Full House” opening credits of the family having a picnic in a giant green space with houses on the background? Well, that scene is at Alamo Square and the Painted Ladies. These Victorian homes are the image of many postcards and are sure to give you the perfect backdrop for the much needed selfie.
2. Urban Putt
Have you ever been to a place where you can eat waffles, drink draft beer, and play a round of mini-golf? Well luckily, Urban Putt offers exactly that. Located in the heart of the Mission District, Urban Putt is the city’s first and only indoor miniature golf course. The high-tech course is located inside a Victorian home and is a perfect way to work on your putting game.
3. Brunch
You need to start off Super Bowl Sunday somehow. So why not do it by drinking a Bloody Mary and eating French toast bigger than your head? San Francisco has some of the best places for brunch and feature great food, great service, and a great view. A couple places you can’t go wrong include Brenda’s French Soul Food and Foreign Cinema.
4. Walt Disney Family Museum
It may not be Orlando Florida, but the Disney family has put together a great experience for Disney fanatics of all ages. The 40,000-square-foot museum melds history with state-of-the-art technology, including more than 200 video screens sprinkled throughout our galleries. The top attraction is a 13-foot model of Disneyland as Walt originally envisioned it.
