What to Pack for Super Bowl 50

We don’t want you to forget anything for your big, momentous, historic, amazing, Super Bowl 50 trip! Here’s a list of the big things you can’t forget to pack when you’re getting ready to head out to the biggest game of the year!

Tickets

If you’re going to the Super Bowl, you’re going to need Super Bowl 2016 tickets. That’s a given. But, don’t forget that even though it’s the 2015 NFL season, it will be the 2016 Super Bowl. It makes sense, it’s just confusing when you’re ordering tickets this year. Maybe don’t put your tickets in your back pockets either, they might fall out.

Team Jerseys

Even if your favorite franchise already bit the dust, you still have to support one squad over the other. That is, unless you’re going to the Super Bowl just for the halftime show. If that’s the case, all you need to bring into the stadium is your phone, so you can take selfies. Besides it’ll give you an opportunity to add new colors to your wardrobe.

Your Phone

Charge it. Bring it. It’s your ticket to the world. Maybe turn on your “Find My Phone” app because you might lose it in all the excitement. With how technologically advanced Levi’s Stadium is, don’t leave your phone in the hotel room!

Security Check

There will be tight security at the game. Levi’s stadium is implementing that clear-bag policy you might have been dealing with all year. There are some things you can’t bring to the game. Don’t bring big bags, don’t bring anything dumb. Also, no fanny packs. (That rule is important for not embarrassing your stylist) The stadium also won’t allow outside alcohol, fireworks, beach balls, beverages, or noisemakers. Full info on what you can bring into the stadium here.

Awesome Headgear

Bring cool hats to show off your style. If the Packers make it to the Big Game, head gear is already covered, but for everyone else, be creative! But don’t bring something Kentucky Derby big or the people behind you won’t be able to see!

Cool Football Hats

We’re going to take this time to say, don’t bring face paint. It melts. It gets nasty. You forget it’s there and it smears. You can go for the traditional two black stripes on the cheeks. But anything more and you’ll end up with blue paint on your hot dog. Unless it’s your thing, and you and your group of buddies have been doing it for years. In that case, long live tradition!

Manners

Be kind. Polite. Patient. You’re going to need to bring your best behavior. It’s going to be crazy! There will be thousands of people in the Bay Area, most will be tourists. It’s going to be nuts! Take a breath, and maybe try to make friends with the people standing in line next to you in the stadium while you’re waiting to get in the door.

Hype

Wooooooooo! Get loud! You’re going to the biggest, baddest, best sports event of the year! Bring that hype! You’re about to see who will become the best football team in the world! You’re watching history! Don’t just sit there! Cheer!

Bling

It’s the “Golden” Super Bowl after all. And fiftieth anniversaries deserves gold! That’s why all the 50-yard line markers have all been painted, by the way. So bring your beautifully gold-plated bling to Super Bowl 50 to get in the Super Bowl spirit!

Someone Trustworthy

It’s more fun to go to the Super Bowl with good people. The last item on our list is the most important: bring a good person with you to the game. You’ll be spending a lot of time together. Make sure your friend is good under pressure, good working out logistics, and good at having fun. You’ll be making memories for a lifetime. All your pictures you’re going to show your grandkids will have whoever you’re sitting next to in them as well, so maybe he or she should be good looking too. That’s always a bonus.

Now that you’ve got all your stuff together, who’s ready for Super Bowl 2016? The game is Sunday, that’s Super Bowl Sunday of course, February 7th at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara California. Security will allow people to enter the stadium starting at 11:00 a.m. Who’s ready?
