Don’t be afraid to try new cuisine, and expand your horizons. San Francisco has a lot to offer the foodie, and the foodie’s friends who get dragged along to all these hole-in-the-wall places to eat. The Butler and the Chef

If one place is known for something, it’s a safe bet it’ll be good. The Butler and the Chef is particularly mentioned for their croque monsieur. It’s a tiny French bistro. They have a great breakfast. And it extends into lunch. Diners mention their good quiche. Again, as is the norm in the city, be prepared for a bit of a wait. But the happy belly at the end is always worth it.

Brenda’s French Soul Food

They’re might be a line out the door, but it’s delicious. You an always sit at the counter to shorten your line. But the wait is worth it. Brenda’s French Soul Food is a great place for a Super Bowl pre-game, pre-tailgate breakfast. Get some beignets if you’re a fan of sweet over savory for your breakfast. Their biscuits are also worth a mention. But where in San Francisco doesn’t have good biscuits and gravy. Also try the shrimp and grits. Really, you can’t go wrong no matter what you order.

Dottie’s True Blue Cafe

Don’t be in a hurry if you’re heading here! Dottie’s True Blue Cafe beautiful pastries made in-house are a wonderful way to start the Super Bowl Sunday. Also, if you decide to eat here more than one morning you’re staying in San Francisco, either for vacation or for the Big Game, they rotate their dishes. So, you’ll have a new selection. The sausage scrambles are also worth a try. Happy breakfasting!

Zazie

Good French bistros make a wonderful start to the morning. Zazie’s is a good call for the hungry brunch crowd. There are longer lines, but they move fast. They offer the breakfast favorites, sometimes with a nice twist. Zazie’s menu prices might pricy at first glance, but they include the tip already, so don’t freak! Their menu gives you a good idea of what to expect, so you can already know what to gt before you arrive.

Sweet Maple

We’re going to make a recommendation. You want the southern benedict with a side of millionaire’s bacon. Just get that. Food for the gods. Sweet Maple is a great local San Francisco spot. If you want a fully belly before getting ready for the Super Bowl 50 festivities, this is a  great option. Also, their Instagram is worth a gander if you have a chance. But make sure you’re already full, otherwise you’ll be starving at first glance of their food!

Mama’s on Washington Square

Yum. All day breakfast. Not surprising, really, given how good the food is, but line to get into Mama’s usually wraps around the block. They serve homemade jam by the way, and very yummy french toast! As a side note, it’s a cash-only place. You’ve been warned. Don’t bring that plastic!

Extra: Bambino’s Ristorante

Well, this looks amazing. Bambino’s Ristorante earned a spot on our list for one good reason. They deliver. They deliver brunch. You can have scrambled eggs delivered. You have the option of eating in your pjs. How could this be better?

Start scoping out good places to eat while there’s still months before the big game. You don’t want it to be a breakfast scramble to get some good food. Or you could always wing it, and just walk around near your hotel. Chances are your Super Bowl package includes a hotel in a great area. Because San Francisco is a great place for dining, you can’t go wrong!
